KAMLOOPS — Hockey season is officially here with the 2017-18 season beginning this weekend in the Kootenay International Junior League.

This will be the 12th season for the Storm in Kamloops, and their second playing out of Memorial Arena.

Storm coach Ed Patterson is still building his team as he waits for players to trickle down from other leagues.

"A total rebuild" says Patterson, "we have three players coming back, that's it."

Patterson says "there are still three or four guys that are supposed to come our way --- every day is a new day."

The Storm play in Revelstoke Friday night and open their home season Saturday at Memorial Arena against Summerland.
