WolfPack men's soccer wraps up pre-season with a win

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack  concluded their 2017 Canada West men’s soccer exhibition season with a third game in Oregon.

 

On Tuesday (Aug 22), they tangled with the Concordia University Caveliers (NCAA Div II) in Portland Oregon.  The Pack scored a 2-0 lead to finish their exhibition campaign unbeaten with 3 wins and four ties.

 

SYNOPSIS

TRU led 1-0 after the first half when rookie Anatoli Leveille (1st year, Winnipeg, MB) was sent in on a partial break away from 10 yards out. The 16 year old rookie was handed a beautiful over the top pass from Jan Pirretas Glasmacher (1st year, Barcelona, Spain).

 

The other ‘Pack goal was scored on a penalty kick by striker James Fraser (1st year, Penticton, BC).

 TRU now begins the Canada West regular season on Saturday (Aug 26) in Prince George, BC against UNBC Timberwolves.
