TNRD rescinds some evacuation alerts near Little Fort, Clearwater

CLEARWATER, B.C. — Residents in the North Thompson communities of Little Fort and Clearwater can breathe a bit easier as several evacuation alerts have now been rescinded.

Evacuation orders and alerts remain in place for some properties in the Hallamore Lake, McCarthy Lake, and Dunn Lake areas, on the east side of the North Thompson River.

Area restrictions also remain in place in the area, a map can be found here.

As for the three fires burning in the area, two of them are 100% contained — while the largest fire near Dunn Lake is 80% contained as of 11am, Monday July 24th.
