WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The Cariboo Regional District says 41 homes within its boundaries have been claimed by this summer’s wildfire crisis.
Officials say that is out of more than 13,000 parcels of land under either evacuation order or alert.
The CRD says it is conducting comprehensive assessments of how many structures have been burned, and attempting to contact the owners.
CRD Chair Al Richmond expressed “sincere regrets,” and asked residents to extend love and support to those who have lost their homes.
