KAMLOOPS — The BC Wildfire Service says it is looking into photos posted to social media last night.

They appear to show forest firefighters in uniform enjoying a large campfire at a lakeshore.

According to the person who posted the photos, they were taken at Adams Lake.

However, it's unclear when the photos were taken, and the individual who took the photos has yet to respond to messages left by CFJC Today.   [UPDATED: Rusty Clark has now spoken with CFJC Today - click here for the updated story]

A total burning ban covers almost the entire province, including the Kamloops Fire Centre.

While the photos were posted Tuesday evening, it appears they had been removed from social media by Wednesday afternoon.

According to Fire Information Officer Jody Lucius, the service is aware of the photos and is investigating.
