LITTLE FORT, B.C. — The evacuation order issued Friday night for Little Fort has been rescinded.

Thompson-Nicola Regional District Chair John Ranta signed the notice to rescind the order effective 3:00 p.m. Tuesday.

Approximately 400 residents are believed to be out of their homes in the Little Fort area.

The area remains on evacuation alert, meaning residents will still need to be ready to leave at a moment's notice.

There are two fires burning around Little Fort, but according to details posted on the BC Wildfire Service website, their sizes have not changed in a few days.
