KAMLOOPS —  The B.C. Wildfire Service is receiving additional help from out of province, and it couldn’t come soon enough.

95 Firefighters from Alberta arrived in Kamloops last night, and are being deployed to one of the more than 200 active fires today.

The crew consists of 60 on-the-ground firefighters, an incident management team, fire investigators, and air support pilots.

Once fully deployed, the grand total will reach 300 firefighters from Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and New Brunswick.
