KAMLOOPS —  Premier-designate John Horgan is scheduled to visit Kamloops Sunday afternoon to offer support to wildfire evacuees and support workers.

Horgan was supposed to be taking part in the Victoria Pride Parade but says he decided to cancel due to the worsening wildfire crisis.

His visit will include a stop at the Provincial Regional Emergency Operations Centre, Emergency Social Services, the Group Lodging Facility at TRU, and the TNRD  Emergency Operations Centre.

It's expected to take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
