Evacuation orders now in place near Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — The Cariboo Regional District has issued new evacuation orders due to the expanding wildfire situation.

An evacuation order has been issued for the Wildwood area near the Williams Lake Airport.

The Miocene area has been evacuated due to the Spokin Lake Road fire northeast of Williams Lake.

And an evacuation order has been expanded for the 103 Mile area, due to the expanding Gustafsen fire, which has now reached 1,800 hectares in size.

All of these fires are classified as out of control.
