KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Venom scored eleven straight goals in the first period on the way to a 23-2 win over the South Okanagan Flames in the first game of the junior lacrosse playoffs.

Anthony Matusiak, Riley Lawryk and Colten Boomer each scored four times.

With South Okanagan having only 12 runners and one goaltender most of the second and third periods were played with running time.

Game two in the best of five is tomorrow night in Oliver.

The Armstrong Shamrocks upset the Vernon Tigers 8-7 in the first game of that semi final.

Vernon will host the B.C. Junior "B" Lacrosse provincial tournament in early August.
