KAMLOOPS — A 32 year old Kamloops man is dead after a motorcycle crash south of the city yesterday.

Kamloops RCMP say the man was riding on Highway 5A at Cardu Hill at about 6:30 Thursday evening when he lost control and crashed.

By the time emergency officials arrived on scene, the rider was already dead.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says a witness to the crash reported the bike went off the road in a curve.

"At this time we don't know if speed or alcohol were involved. We don't have any information, so we are relying on our traffic analyst and the coroner's office to do their investigation," said Shelkie.
