KAMLOOPS — A 60-year old Kamloops woman is dead after a single vehicle motorcycle accident last night on Hillside Drive.

The woman, the driver of the motorcycle, apparently lost control of the northbound bike as she was making a left hand turn into Home Depot.

The woman was thrown off the bike when it hit the curb, and suffered fatal injuries.

Emergency services personnel tried to revive the unconscious woman, but she was declared dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating. No indication at this time if speed may have been a factor or there were other circumstances involved.

The woman's name hasn't been released. The victim's family is still being contacted.
