KAMLOOPS — Two rinks, one of them from Kamloops, have received invitations to the Road to the Roar Pre-Trials in Prince Edward Island this November.

Karla Thompson skipped her rink to the 2016 B.C. Women’s Curling Championship and a berth in the Canadian Scotties.

This season Thompson’s team gained enough qualifying points on the Canadian Team Ranking System to nail down one of 12 invitations to the pre-trials to decide the final two direct entries into the 2017 Roar of the Rings Olympic qualifier in Ottawa in December.

The other B.C. rink invited to the pre-trials is the John Morris/Jim Cotter team from Vernon and Kelowna.
