KAMLOOPS — Police are confirming a fire that heavily damaged a home on the North Shore yesterday was suspicious.

Firefighters were called to the home in the 200-block of Oak Road at about 5:15 a.m. yesterday.

They were able to knock down the fire quickly, but not before it caused significant damage.

Police and fire investigators have not pinpointed a cause of the blaze, but are now leaning toward suspicious circumstances as the cause.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie notes the residence is well-known to police.
