KAMLOOPS — The 2017 Kamloops Y Strong Kids Campaign wrapped up this morning (March 20) at the Downtown location of the YMCA.

Eight corporate teams participated in this year's challenge - with the School District 73 team, 'Mission Slim Possible' taking home the top fundraising prize.

The team raised more than $8,600, beating out their nearest competition by just $22 dollars.

The four week Strong Kids Campaign raised more than $36,000, once all the donations were tallied.

The money raised will allow about 360 children to participate in extra-curricular activities at the YM-YWCA.

The Y Strong Kids Challenge isn’t over yet - you can still make a donation online, or at the Kamloops Y locations.
