First upset at USport University Cup

KAMLOOPS — Two former Blazers played in the first game of the USport University Cup men's hockey quarter-finals in Fredericton today.

Marc McNulty's Acadia Axemen, seeded 8th, defeated Ryan Rehill's Alberta Golden Bears 4-1.

Tonight Dylan Willick's University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds, the defending champions, seeded 5th, play number 4 Queens.

Other ex-Blazers playing in the University Cup are Matt Needham with St. Francis Xavier, and Logan McVeigh with the University of Saskatchewan.
