KAMLOOPS — Nancy Bepple has secured the Kamloops South-Thompson NDP nomination.

The former city councillor kicked off her campaign at a nomination meeting at The Heritage House Sunday.

Bepple says she knows she has her work cut out for her ahead of the spring election.

“Now the real work starts which is to defeat Todd Stone and the B.C Liberals,” said Bepple. “It’s going to be a hard fight and the way you win elections is you knock on a lot of doors. I know I have my work cut out for me and I’m looking forward to it.”

Bepple says one of the main election issues for her is Kamloops doctor shortage and reducing poverty in the city.

Incumbent Liberal MLA Todd Stone, Green-Party candidate Donovan Cavers and Communist Party candidate Beat Klossner are also vying for the Kamloops-South Thompson riding.
