KAMLOOPS — More passing lanes are coming to the Yellowhead Highway up the North Thompson Valley.
The lanes will be added near Darfield, and include a three-kilometre stretch southbound and a 2.7-kilometre extension to an existing northbound lane.
According to the Transportation Minister Todd Stone, pre-construction work has begun, with the construction contract set to be tendered in January.
The lanes should be ready by fall of 2018.
