Saskatchewan Roughriders sign national linebacker Henoc Muamba to CFL deal
REGINA — Henoc Muamba is back in the CFL.
The six-foot, 230-pound linebacker signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Wednesday. Muamba, a native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo who grew up in Mississauga. Ont., attended the Dallas Cowboys’ training camp earlier this summer and played in three exhibition games with the NFL club.
Muamba joins a Riders’ squad that’s last in the West Division with a CFL-worst 3-10 record. But he wasn’t deterred by that.
“You’ve got to look at the future,” Muamba told reporters. “You’ve got to look at the situation, everything has to fit.
