Kamloops woman killed in crash near Vernon identified

VERNON, B.C. — The BC Coroners Service has released the name of a woman who died in a two vehicle crash in Vernon last week.

55 year old Susan Louise Delrose of Kamloops was a rear-seat passenger in an SUV that collided with a pickup truck at Highway 97 and Westside Road around 5:30 pm Sept. 20th.

She was deceased at the scene.

Two other women in the SUV, the 18 year old driver, and a 54 year old, both from Kamloops, suffered serious injuries.

The SUV was hit while trying to turn left from Westside Road onto the highway.

Police and the Coroners Service continue to investigate the incident.
