KAMLOOPS — Hollywood-watchers say production of the latest Maze Runner movie will restart in February.

Production of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure has been halted since star Dylan O'Brien was injured during shooting near Cache Creek in March.

O'Brien was performing in an action sequence when he became suspended between two vehicles, causing significant injuries.

Worksafe BC released a report into the accident in June, saying the action sequence had not been properly planned.

The restart of production has been pushed back several times to allow O'Brien to fully recover.

According to Deadline: Hollywood, production will restart in February, though it's unclear if the production will return to the BC Interior.
