IIO takes over Valleyview crash investigation

KAMLOOPS — Police have release a clarification into a accident that occurred on Monday, August 15. 

Originally, Kamloops RCMP indicated that a marked police vehicle, with lights and sirens activated attempted a legal U-turn on a green light, but that statement has been amended to indicate the officer was in fact facing a red light. 

There were no serious injuries to the officer, or the civilian in the other vehicle. 

The Independent Investigation Office has been notified of the crash, and will now be investigating.
