Second Surrey shooting in 24 hours sends man to hospital, police investigating

SURREY, B.C. — Police in Surrey, B.C., are investigating the city’s 37th shooting of the year.

The RCMP say officers responded around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday to several reports of gunfire (around the intersection of 75A Avenue and Scott Road).

Mounties found an injured man inside a silver SUV and sent him to hospital.

He was conscious at the time.
