KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire and Rescue had luck on their side last night dealing with two grass fires in the area.

One fire started late in the afternoon on Lac Le Jeune Road and took crews till late last night to put it out.

The other call came in about 8:00 last night, in the area known as Turtle Hump above Westsyde.

Platoon Captain Jeff Bell says two trucks spent a couple of hours putting that one out.
