KAMLOOPS — Thompson Rivers University has issued a 'trespass letter' to a man who was the subject of a safety complaint on campus.

The school sent an alert to its community yesterday, accompanied by a photo of a man the believe had tried to access on-campus housing.

Dean of Students Christine Adam says these circumstances are rare.

"From time to time, students bring concerns about feeling unsafe on campus to us," said Adam. "If we discover that the source of that feeling of lack of safety comes from a non-student, we may ask that person to leave campus and remain off of campus."

Adam says the man is not accused of a crime, but he is no longer welcome on the TRU campus.
