Small wildfire near 100 Mile

100 Mile House, B.C. — The Cariboo Fire Centre responded to a 1.5 hectare wildfire east of 100 Mile House near Buffalo Creek.

Fire Information Ofccier Emily Epp says this morning the fire is in the mop up stage.

Epp says, “the fire wasn't growing significantly last night or threatening any structures. It's definitly under control at this time.”

Epp says throughout the past week, there have been several human caused fires and reminds the public that conditions are dry and that fires can spread quickly.
