KAMLOOPS — The BC Coroners Service has identified the man who died in an avalanche in the North Shuswap Sunday.

He was 37 year old Bryan David Morry of Celista.

Morry was snowmobiling with friends on Crowfoot Mountain north of Celista Sunday afternoon.

As they stopped for a lunch break, Morry was struck by an avalanche.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time, Morry was the tenth person to die due to an avalanche in Western Canada this season, though slides have taken two more lives since then.
