EcoTex confirms Okanagan laundry facility

KAMLOOPS — Further to this week’s announcement that Interior Health will privatize much of its laundry operations, the company who won the contract is providing a few more details.

Randy Bartsch, President and CEO of Ecotex, says their 20 year contract with the provincial health agency will result in the company investing in a new a new Okanagan facility that will create 90 to 100 full time, unionized jobs with competitive wages and benefits.

Bartsch says Ecotex is a Canadian owned company that’s been providing commercial laundry services since 1959

“We are a proud Canadian company based in Abbotsford with operations in Canada and across the Western United States.  We are always looking at opportunities to expand and bring our eco-friendly approach to the health care sector.  We are excited to be in the Okanagan, investing in the region and creating local jobs,” says Bartsch.
