Police investigating suspicious death in Quesnel

QUESNEL, B.C. — Police are investigating a suspicious death in Quesnel, 4 hours North of Kamloops.

RCMP and EMS (Emergency Medical Services) responded to a 911 call that came from a home in the 100 block of Brears road North in Quesnel.

Officers at the scene found a 67 year old man who was deceased. 

The North District Major Crime Unit has been called in to assist the investigation.

RCMP Cpl. Dave Tyreman said in a release "The cause of death has not been determined at this point and the investigation is still ongoing. In order to protect the integrity of the investigation and any possible court proceedings, no further information will be released at this time."

Cpl. Tyreman also said there is no risk to the public at this time.
