Billings, MT—The 2015 calendar year isn’t ending the way that Thompson Rivers University WolfPack men’s basketball team wanted it to.

The WolfPack ended a two game exhibition tournament in Billings, Montana by falling to the host Rocky Mountain College Battlin’ Bears (NAIA).  On Wednesday (Dec 30), the score was 95-60.  TRU lost both their games in Montana.

“We played better than we did last night,” said WolfPack head coach Scott Clark. “Our effort was better both physically and mentally. But the consistency of the effort in both areas wasn’t there. We need to get back to practice.”

The Battlin’ Bears led 42-29 at the half.

TRU was led by Gerard Gore (5th year, St.John’s, Antiqua) led the way with 15 points.  Volodymyr Iegorov (4th year, forward, Donetsk, Ukraine) added 12 points.

The WolfPack return to regular season action in the Canada West Explorer Division on Friday, January 8, 2016 in Kelowna, BC vs the University of  British Columbia Okanagan Heat. Their next home game at the Warner Rentals Centre at the Tournament Capital Centre is January 22nd when the Mount Royal Cougars pay a visit.
