Missing teen found safe

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE (9:39 a.m., Dec 31): Kamloops RCMP say Sydney Beckley has been located and is safe.

EARLIER: Kamloops RCMP have corrected the name of a local teenager reported missing earlier this month.

She is 17 year old Sydney Beckley.

Sydney was last seen on December 13th.

Corporal Cheryl Bush says it’s believed the girl is still in Kamloops.

“Police have been following up on information and following various leads,” said Bush. “There is an indication that she is in Kamloops and we have also had some people contact her via social media, however we do need to actually ensure her safety before we can stop looking for her.”

Sydney is 5’9″, about 185 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
