KAMLOOPS — With no major snowstorms expected before the end of the year, City of Kamloops administrators can look at the city’s snow-clearing budget and breathe a sigh of relief.

Streets and Environmental Services Manager Glen Farrow says despite a major snowfall in early January – the city is well under budget.

“We will fall below our budget, about $100,000 to the good,” said Farrow, adding “we had a very mild winter through February and March of 2015, and through November it was very light as well, so at the end of the year we are looking very good.”

Farrow also notes one particular line item was blown out of the water by that early January storm.
