KAMLOOPS — Travelers on the Coquihalla can expect delays after a motor vehicle incident.

According to Drive B.C. the highway is closed north bound at Larson Hill which is just south of Merritt.

First responders confirm there has been a two vehicle accident with at least a single patient involved.

There is presently no estimated time for reopening.

Drive B.C. suggests motorists use Highway 1 or 8 as alternates.

The Coquihalla has had substantial snowfall over recent days and winter driving conditions are to be expected by motorists.
