KAMLOOPS — Victoria Royals captain Joe Hicketts has been named to Hockey Canada's selection camp roster this morning for the national junior team.

The 19-year old Kamloops native was the only returning defenseman from last winters gold medal winning team at this summers evaluation camp.

Hicketts is the top scoring defenseman in the Western League this season with 28 points in 27 games.

His 26 assists are among the top four for all players in the league.
