Rivers FC opens 2024 season with win and draw at Hillside Stadium

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops’ semi-pro soccer club kicked off their 2024 season at Hillside Stadium with a pair of results Sunday (April 28).
Rivers FC’s men’s squad shut out Altitude FC from North Vancouver 1-0. Hagon Kim scored at the 36-minute mark and that was all Rivers FC needed to secure all three points.
Meantime, Rivers FC’s women drew Altitude FC 2-2. Taylor Miller and Ainsley Grether gave Rivers FC a 2-0 at half time but the women couldn’t hang on for the win as Altitude FC scored two goals in three minutes at the 74- and 77-minute mark.
Next up for Rivers FC is a trip to Vancouver Island for a pair of matches with Harbourside FC in Nanaimo on Saturday, May 4.
