Driver dies in medical emergency on Trans Canada Highway in Valleyview

KAMLOOPS — A person died after undergoing medical distress while driving in Valleyview Tuesday (Nov. 30) morning.

Kamloops RCMP say the vehicle was stopped in the middle of the East Trans Canada Highway near Highland Road. Police say life-saving efforts were made by first responders, but sadly, the driver did not survive.

The middle lane in each direction was closed for approximately one hour while emergency responders attended and awaited the coroner.
