KCBIA hopes free downtown parking will draw visitors
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops is again offering free on-street parking downtown every weekend through November and December, and the KCBIA is hoping it’ll bring extra shoppers to the area.
Kamloops Central Business Improvement Association President Dino Bernardo, says the zero-cost parking will be a strong incentive to bring more people to the city centre.
“We think its great,” Bernardo says, “Anything that we can do to attract people to the downtown core to shop at all of our wonderful shops, and partake in our wonderful restaurants and services.”
The offer expands on the always free Sunday parking for the area, adding Saturdays to the list until December 30. The city’s regular 3 hour time limit will also be enforced.
