Last summer long weekend sees slow-pitch take over Tournament Capital Ranch
KAMLOOPS — It’s hard to believe it’s September already. With fall coming fast, all those fun summer activities like camping, boating, and golfing are coming to an end. Here in Kamloops, this long weekend is a chance for sun seekers to hold onto summer for just a little bit longer. Out at the Tournament Capital Ranch, over 80 slow-pitch teams are in town for the NSA World Series, just one of the many events taking place for those hoping to cling to the final days of summer.
The timing couldn’t be better for a slow-pitch tournament. This weekend, the Tournament Capital Ranch is hosting the NSA Co-Ed Slo-pitch World Series, an event which will see over 80 teams competing for thousands of dollars in prize money.
“We’ll be anywhere between 1200 and 1500 out and around all the diamonds,” NSA Executive Vice President Ewan Webster said.
