TRU nursing students promote better kidney health
KAMLOOPS — On World Kidney Day, Lyle Roberts is taking his kidney disease in stride, trying to remain as positive as he can, even without chance for a transplant at 72 years old.
Roberts, diagnosed with kidney disease in 2013, has dialysis three times a week. He’s been in and out of hospital for the better part of the last four years, greatly impacting his life.
“I was very much a doer,” said Roberts. “I’m in dialysis three times a week, and I lose those days. The next day I’m up and running, but it’s affect me a lot.”
