Connor McDavid leads way with three points, Oilers double up Flyers 6-3
EDMONTON — It has only taken the Edmonton Oilers 58 games to equal their point total from all of last season.
Connor McDavid had a goal and two assists to regain the NHL scoring lead as Edmonton came away with a 6-3 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.
Matt Hendricks, Leon Draisaitl, Jordan Eberle, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Oscar Klefbom also scored for the Oilers (31-19-8), who have won two straight games and three of their last four. With the win, Edmonton moved into a tie with Anaheim for second place in the Pacific Division with 70 points.
“It’s a good two points for us,” McDavid said. “It was a big game for both teams and we found a way to get the win.”
