NewLeaf expected to arrive on time in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — The ultra-low-cost airline NewLeaf is on track to fly into Kamloops in a little over two weeks time.
The airline will provide direct service from Kamloops to both Edmonton and Victoria. While there’s currently no sign of the incoming airline at the Kamloops Airport Terminal, managing director Fred Legace says preparations are well underway for NewLeaf’s arrival.
“All of our plans right now are for startup on (July) 30th,” Legace said. “We’re just anticipating the arrival of some signage, we have to get some IT stuff as well so that they can print boarding passes, print baggage tags, and all of that sort of stuff. We’re getting them set up so that they can use their computer system in the building as well.
