SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY TRAILER DROPS: Disney dropped a 45-second teaser for Solo: A Star Wars Story during the Super Bowl, and on Monday, the full teaser trailer was released. The teaser shows Han Solo as a kid (“I’ve been running scams on the street since I was 10”) and gives the backstory on being kicked out of the flight academy before joining Woody Harrelson‘s crew. “Get ready. I thought we were in trouble there for a second, but it’s fine,” says Alden Ehrenreich‘s Solo. The Disney / Lucasfilm adventure blows into theaters May 25th.

RYAN MURPHY LANDS AT NETFLIX: Ryan Murphy is headed to Netflix again with The Politician, a musical political comedy starring Ben Platt. Barbra Streisand and Gwyneth Paltrow are also in talks to star. Paltrow’s fianc, Brad Falchuk, is also producing, along with Ian Brennan. Murphy also has Ratched, starring Sarah Paulson, in the works at Netflix.

DWAYNE JOHNSON TO HOST NBC SHOW: The Rock is teaming up with NBC for an unscripted series, The Titan Games. Dwayne Johnson will host and exec produce the 10-episode unscripted competition, which hails from Universal Television Alternative Studio and A. Smith & Co. “I wanted to create a platform that gave everyday people the opportunity to change their lives and do something extraordinary,” Johnson told Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon during the special post-Super Bowl episode where he made the announcement. “With this, I was watching one of my favorite shows on TV that I was inspired by – American Ninja Warrior – and we partnered with the creative execs of that show and … with NBC.”

WESTWORLD TRAILER DROPS: Evan Rachel Wood is going to burn things to the ground in Season 2 of Westworld. The chilling trailer dropped during the Super Bowl, and it shows her character Dolores explaining how a toxic environment everyone lives in can only thrive again if they seize control, burn it down and rebuild. HBO‘s Westworld returns April 22nd. Will you tune in?

YOUTUBE SUPER BOWL AD VIEWS UP 16%: YouTube said Amazon‘s Jeff Bezos-starring Super Bowl commercial “Alexa Loses Her Voice” was the most popular ad on game day. Viewership of Super Bowl ads on YouTube were up overall 16% over 2017, and living-room viewership rocketed 52%. Behind Alexa, was Groupon‘s ad featuring Tiffany Haddish. KEVIN HART’S NETWORK HEADED TO CANADA: Comedian Kevin Hart is taking his online comedy network, Laugh Out Loud, north to Canada. Hart is partnering with Lionsgate to bring a free, ad-supported video streaming service, Snackable TV, to Canada. Hart and Lionsgate debuted LOL service in the U.S. in August, and now it is expanding, with a new slate of comedies and unscripted series.
