Marty joined the CFJC team in February of 2024, eager to continue reporting in the Tournament Capital after 14 years on the job at Kamloops This Week, the newspaper that shuttered in October of 2023. The Thompson Rivers University graduate has roots in South Surrey, but has called Kamloops home since 2005, notwithstanding a brief, twilight-zone tenure in Prince Albert working for the Daily Herald newspaper. Marty has more than 10 years’ experience in radio and created, co-hosted, produced and edited Kamloops Last Week, a now-defunct podcast/videocast. He’s certain both the Buffalo Bills and Vancouver Canucks will win championships before he dies.
