Jeremy Russo - Videojournalist
Jeremy Russo is a videojournalist who joined the CFJC News team in May 2026. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Jeremy studied Media Communications & Production (formerly named Radio & Television) at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) and has a passion for storytelling, sports broadcasting and connecting within the community.
Before CFJC, Jeremy built a background in sports broadcasting through play-by-play and colour commentary roles covering university hockey, basketball, soccer and minor-community football. Jeremy’s passion for broadcasting started as an elementary student and hasn’t looked back since. He hopes to continue learning and growing inside the industry and is dedicated to help bring local stories to viewers across the region.
Outside of the newsroom, Jeremy enjoys covering sporting events, co-hosting his own Canadian basketball podcast and spending time outdoors or on the water.
Growing up primarily around hockey, he is a proud Edmonton Oilers fan and, more recently, a Vancouver Bandits fan.
