Canada gets shot at women's world hockey gold with 5-3 semifinal win over Finns

KAMLOOPS, B.C. — The United States and Canada extended their streak of clashing for gold at the women’s world hockey championship.

The international women’s hockey archrivals square off in Monday’s final for the 17th time in as many tournaments.

CIS player of the year serves as Russia team host at Women's World Hockey

KAMLOOPS — The eight teams in the Women's World Hockey Championship all have a support group which includes managers, trainers, medical and equipment staff.

Every team also has a local host.

For one of the team the host is a well known local star athlete.
