Ralph Williams passed away on November 30, 2019 at the age of 89 in Parksville. He was loved and will truly be missed by his family. He would have liked to have said goodbye to all his friends and so we write these final few paragraphs in hopes it finds all those he spent time with here in Kamloops.
To his RCMP friends and family he met in his many postings … including Port Saunders, Harbour Grace, Corner Brook, and Kamloops… he had such wonderful memories and kept them close to his heart. Thanks to Stu Langdon for helping organize a get together during his last visit to Kamloops.
To his neighbors and friends in Sahali and Rivershore, his time in Kamloops he cherished. It never ceased to amaze him that he could grow tomatoes. And never figured out what to do with all the tomatoes at the end of each summer. Although he would try to eat them all.
To his friends in the Ham radio community; he enjoyed talking with new and old acquaintances he made over the past 50 years.
Ralph loved to go travelling, camping and fishing and will always remember the special times with the Dawsons, Sofkos and Carsons. He never stopped talking about those happy times.
In retirement he also loved to build things and spent many hours with friends trying to master the skills in rebuilding a MG… and then on to building a home in Rivershore … and finally supervising and helping to build his daughter’s home in Westsyde.
He cherished music… whether it was a Neil Diamond concert or VSO Handel’s Messiah concert … he stepped a little more cheerfully with a big smile on his face.
We love you Dad…. See you soon.
