January 29 1952 – January 20 2020

William “Bill” McKenzie Brock of Whitecroft, Heffley Creek passed away on Monday, January 20^th 2020 at the age of 67 years. He is survived by his loving wife Avril, sons Sean of Ashington, UK , and Paul of Ashington, UK , stepdaughter Samantha of Cwmbran, South Wales, grandchildren Cameron, Joseph, Sophie, Ella and Emily, and siblings Norman, Joyce, Pat, and Helen.

Bill was born on the 29^th of January 1952 in Carlisle, UK. He passed away suddenly on January 20^th 2020. Bill worked in the North East, Leicestershire and Derbyshire Mental Health Services and then in Kamloops at Hillside Centre.  He was an amazing psychiatric nurse, mentor and manager. Advocating for his patients was a top priority for him. Over the years, he has helped many, many patients with mental health illnesses. Bill was a phenomenal husband, father and stepfather, and the most special Grandad to our wonderful grandchildren. Bill touched everyone he met with his gentleness, kindness, graciousness, selflessness, charm, humour and love.

Bill will be loved and remembered forever

Avril would like to give special thanks to the communities of Whitecroft and Sun Peaks for their love and support. Memorial donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Community Association of Whitecroft, 7384 Cahilty Crescent, Heffley Creek, V0E 1Z1.

The Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, 2573 Tod Mountain Road. Celebrant, Monsignor Jerry Desmond.
