It is with deep sadness that the family of Myrtle Ellen Westfall (nee Partridge) announces her passing on September 23, 2016 at the age of 86
She was predeceased by her husband Frederick and her parents, Pevril and Ellen. She is survived by her brother Bob(Julie), son Gary(Frida), daughter’s Linda(Barry), Donna(Michael) and Laurie(Ron). Also grandchildren; Mark and Colin, Darcy, Angie, Lindsay, Shay, Scott, Corey, Sean, Jennifer, Ashley and all spouses. Myrtle also had 16 grandchildren, as well as other relatives and friends.
Myrtle was born in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan, she grew up in Naramata, schooled and worked in Penticton, where she met and then married Fred in 1951. They raised four children in Nelson, Prince George, and finally Kamloops. Mom worked in the hospitality industry and finally as a Homemaker for Kamloops Home Support before retiring. She enjoyed travelling, camping, crafting, and gardening.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses, who cared for mom at Royal Inland Hospital, and Kamloops Hospice Society.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 08, 2016, at 2:00 pm in Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive.
In lieu of flowers, moms’ charity wishes were, Gideon Bible Society, Dystonia Medical Research, New Life Mission, Crossroads, or charitable organization of choice.
