Jacqueline Rose Weir May 21, 1961 – December 17, 2019
With great sadness we announce the passing of Jacqueline Rose Weir at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice in Kamloops, BC, on the evening of December 17, surrounded by family. She leaves three children, Christina (Roger), Rachelle, Mitchell and grandson Nathaniel. She is survived by her mother Rose (Mel), her brother Bill, her beloved nieces and nephews and former spouse and lifelong friend Michael. Jacqueline was born May 21, 1961 in Edmonton, Alberta and grew up in Kamloops, BC. Jacqueline graduated from high school at Kamloops Senior Secondary in 1979 and then went on to complete the Animal Health Technology program at what is now Thompson Rivers University. She lovingly raised her children and family in North Vancouver, BC for 20 years before fulfilling her dream of living in the country with her horses in Tappen, BC. Jacqueline was an avid outdoors woman who loved to hike with her many dogs and rode horses in the wilds of Shuswap Lake. She had many, many friends who knew and loved her for her wonderful independent nature and vibrant colourful spirit. The family is deeply grateful to the staff at Marjorie Willowby-Snowden Hospice for their considerate care of Jacqueline in the last few weeks of her life. Jacqueline was an inspiration to all who her knew her. She died as she lived, always showing great personal courage and compassion for others. Please join us for a Celebration of Life on January 25, 2020 at the South Thompson Inn, Kamloops, BC from 1 to 5 pm.
