Gordon Arthur Webb (Gord), 85, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2017 at Kamloops, BC with his family by his side.
Gord was born February 06, 1932, in Fort St John, British Columbia. He moved to Dawson Creek with his family when he was a child. He met and married his wife Geri in 1957 and they raised their two children in Dawson Creek as well. In later years they moved to Kamloops to enjoy their retirement.
Gord was a bush pilot and was also the airport manager in Dawson Creek. He also worked as a purchasing agent with Quintette Coal in Tumbler Ridge and enjoyed many great years working as an oil scout with AJ Webb Consulting out of Alberta.
Gord is survived by his wife, Geri; son, Michael (Stephanie) and daughter, Heather; grandchildren Jordan and Ashley (Kevin); and great grandchildren Calla, Alexander, Lincoln, Isabelle, Morgan and James; as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends. Gord was predeceased by his father, Arthur, his mother, Margaret and his brother, Ken.
There will be no formal service by request.
We would like to thank Dr. S. Kip and Dr. J. Howie, and their staff. Also, a thank you to his niece and favourite crib partner, Paula. A very special thank-you to the wonderful angels in Blueberry Lane at the Overlander Residential Care Facility, there are not enough words to express our thanks and gratitude for the care, love and compassion you have shown to Dad and our family during his stay.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in Gord’s name may be given to the Overlander Residential Care Facility , 953 Southill St, Kamloops, BC V2B 7Z9.
